On February 7 and 8, 2025, Salas Art Agency presented in Charlotte Nadia Calmet-Oficial, renowned Peruvian artist and cultural promoter, specializing in Afro-Peruvian dances and rhythms. With more than 25 years of career, he is a key figure in the preservation and dissemination of Afrodescendant culture in Peru and the world.

On this opportunity and thanks to the invitation of La Casa de la Cultura, Nadia participated as one of the special guests at the Afro Legacy Fest, celebrating African American heritage for the second consecutive year, at the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture and The Mint Museum. The event featured the presence of the Consulate General of Peru in Atlanta, represented by Mr. Giancarlo León Collazos, who offered the words of welcome.
A special thanks to two stunning professional dancers Gaby Palomeque and Oswaldo Chi, who joined us from Orlando for this occasion.
Nadia Calmet's visit to Charlotte was made possible thanks to the sponsorship of Hector Cecilia Carbajal and Coco Cleaning Services. We thank the broadcast support to Peruanos en Charlotte and photographer Ernesto Moreno.
